Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is in Kerala in connection with the shoot of Mani Ratnam's film 'Ravana', turned 35 on Saturday.
The shooting of the film, in which Abhishek Bachchan is also starring is in progress at Athirampally falls in Thrissur district.
Abhishek arrived here this morning.
A birthday bash has been planned at night in which Abhishek, Maniratnam and crew members of the film will participate.
A student from Kalamandalam, Priya, will perform 'Mohiniattam' (Kerala's traditional dance) and Bharatnatyam.
Kerala's traditional cuisine, North Indian dishes and tribal delicacies have been arranged for the dinner, sources of 'Rainforest', where the actress has been put up, said.
The making of the multi lingual film had run into rough weather a few days ago when forest officials had directed the film crew to stop shooting inside the Malayatoor forests as some forest growth had been damaged. That issue was later resolved and the shooting began last week.
In her career spanning over 11 years, Aishwarya has acted in over 40 films in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali and English.
Aishwaraya made her debut in Mani Ratnam's Tamil film 'Iruvar' in 1997 opposite Malayalam actor Mohanlal. She received rave reviews for her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' in 1999 and won the Filmfare best actress award for the film.
Her career got a new fillip in 2002 with Bhansali's 'Devdas', which was followed by good performances in 'Raincoat', 'Guru', 'Dhoom 2','Provoked', 'Jodha Akbar' and 'Sarkar Raj'.
